Troy Ready

Troy Ready has served as assistant coach with the Portland Timbers U23 since 2015. Prior to the Timbers, Ready served as the Director of Development for the Tajikistan Soccer Federation for two years, and was on staff for Tajikistan from 2010-2013.

Prior to that, Ready was an assistant coach for the Whitworth University men’s soccer team from 2004-2012. As a player, Ready played for the University of Washington during his collegiate days, while professionally, he played for the Portland Timbers, earning USL First Division Team of the Week honors in 2006 and Co-Humanitarian of the Year accolades in 2008. He currently holds his USSF “A” license.

Ready earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 2003 with a degree in Speech Communications, graduating with honors. As a player at the UW, he was the leading scorer and offensive MVP in 2003, all while leading his team to the first Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history. He garnered All-League Plaudits for his efforts.

In his free time, Ready enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the guitar, swimming, and watching sports. Ready and his wife live in Portland, Ore. with their three sons: Myles (6), Keats (4), and Tanner (2).
