SALEM, Ore. – The Timbers U23 organization announced the team’s 2017 tryout dates and locations on Thursday morning, putting on paper the first official events of the 2017 season for the newly relocated Timbers U23s in 2017. Staff from the Portland Timbers organization will be on hand to assess players, and players who receive interest may be invited to train with the team during preseason to continue evaluation.

“There is a ton of momentum within our organization right now and we hope to build on that by finding a few quality players to add to our mix at these tryouts,” said Timbers U23 head coach Aaron Lewis. “We are certain we will get interest from around the country, but it is our hope that we locate a couple of local players that can impress the staff. We believe in the quality of soccer in our region, and those players will get the nod if all else is equal.”
