Timbers and Tetherow Partner for Memorial Day Weekend Soccer and Golf

BEND, Ore. — This past Memorial Day weekend, the Timbers U23 headed down to Bend, Ore. where they hosted a clinic, match, and golf tournament presented by Tetherow Resort.

 The weekend began Sunday where Portland Timbers legend, Jack Jewsbury, held an hour clinic at Summit High School. Players and community members were able to come and learn from one of the best in the game then enjoy a matchup between the Timbers U23 squad and Lane United FC.

The following afternoon, the Timbers U23 held a “Best Ball Challenge” at Tetherow Resort where __ teams competed for a number of prizes including a signed Timbers jersey, tickets, Timbers swag, and more. Teams got to enjoy __ holes of golf on the beautiful Tetherow green.

“Tetherow has been a great partner for the Timbers U23’s, and this weekend was no exception,” said Timbers U23 Executive Director, Collin Box. “A big thank you to the staff at Tetherow, Jack Jewsbury, as well as those from Bend FC Timbers for helping to make this weekend’s festivities so much fun.” 

The Timbers U23 squad returns to McCulloch Stadium this weekend to take on Calgary Foothills FC U23. Guests on Friday evening, May 31 will receive 2 for 1 tickets while all student and kids get in for free Sunday’s match at 2:00pm.
