Timbers U23s Set to Host Washington Premier FC U23 in Preseason Tournament Championship

SALEM, Ore. – Following a dominant performance against Twin City Union FC last Saturday in an 8-1 win, the Timbers U23s will now host Washington Premier FC U23 in the championship match of the Preseason Tournament, presented by Vagabond Brewing.

Sunday’s (May 6, 2018) tournament title game is slated for a 5 p.m. kickoff and will follow the conclusion of the third-place match between PDX FC and Twin City Union FC, which is set for a 2:30 p.m. start. Both games will be played at the Capital Futbol Club Soccer Complex.

Food trucks and beer gardens will once again be available for the games, with Vagabond Brewing providing the beer for the second-straight week. Food trucks will include JT’s Taqueria and BlackRock BBQ.

Tickets for the tournament cost $9 for adults and $5 for youth and are available for purchase online (here) or at the gate.

The Timbers are still undefeated in preseason play thanks to a 2-0 win over Starphire FC on Wednesday night in Albany. The squad will host Kitsap Pumas SC in the US Open Cup on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the team’s first game at McCulloch Stadium in 2018.
