Timbers U23s Headed to the Pros after MLS Draft and Signings

SALEM, Ore. – Several Timbers U23 standouts are headed to Major League Soccer and United Soccer League preseason camps after having either been drafted or signed by the varying professional teams.

The following is a list of Timbers U23 alums headed to play professional soccer:

Niko De Vera – 31st by New York Red Bulls
Mohamed Thiaw – 35th by San Jose Earthquakes
Nate Shultz – 48th by LA Galaxy
Timmy Mueller – 63rd by Portland Timbers
Ben White – 92nd by Toronto FC

MLS Homegrown Contracts
Foster Langsdorf – Homegrown Contract with Portland Timbers
Kris Reaves – Homegrown Contract with FC Dallas

USL Professional Contract
Jordan Farr – USL Contract with Indy 11

“We are thrilled for each of the alums who have realized their goals to be professional soccer players,” said Timbers U23 head coach Aaron Lewis. “I look forward to seeing their games continue to develop at the next level, and wish them all the best moving forward.”

The Timbers U23s are the defending USLPDL Northwest Division Champions. Over the past two years, the Timbers U23s have sent 13 players and counting on to play at the next level, signing contracts with MLS and USL organizations.
